Our job is to pull your personal information off the internet, and doing that job means holding some of it ourselves. So this page works the way we do: every claim comes pinned to something you can check: an audit, a screenshot, a document, a published rating.

Certified and audited

Privacy Bee is SOC 2 Type II certified and ISO 27001 compliant. Both are independent audits, and the Type II designation matters: auditors examined how our controls held up over months of operation, not on a single well-prepared day.

We also run a Security Operations Center in Atlanta, Georgia, staffed around the clock by Privacy Bee employees. It is the only staffed SOC in the data-removal category. Inside our Security Operations Center.

How we hold what we hold

An audit is a summary. These are the specifics behind it: what happens to your data on the wire and on disk, how anyone signs in, and who is physically able to walk up to a screen with your file open on it.

The front door

There is no password to steal

  • Signing in A one-time code sent to your email, a passkey on your device, or your company's single sign-on. Never a password.
  • What we store No Privacy Bee account has a password, so there is no password column in our database to breach, reuse, or phish.
  • Second factor An authenticator app can be added on top of the code or passkey.
  • Staff accounts The same rule covers us. Employees reach internal tools the same passwordless way you reach yours.
The cryptography

Encrypted in flight and at rest

  • In flight TLS 1.2 or higher is required. Older protocol versions are refused at the edge on every Privacy Bee address you connect to, never quietly downgraded.
  • At rest AES-256 on the database that holds your account and on the object storage that holds your files and removal screenshots.
  • In your browser HSTS is set on privacybee.com with every subdomain included, so browsers upgrade to an encrypted connection on their own.
The room

The SOC is a hard building

  • Where it is Atlanta, Georgia. We publish the city and never the street address.
  • Getting in Two biometric doors between the sidewalk and the floor, under 4K cameras that see 360 degrees and run around the clock.
  • Devices Personal devices stay outside. Phones go into a lockbox before the first door.
  • Who is inside W2 Privacy Bee employees only, each cleared by a background check before their first day. No contractors on the floor.

The vault we do not run ourselves

Sensitive material we have to store, we store with SparkVault rather than ourselves. By their published design the vault key is derived on the client side and never reaches their servers, so SparkVault cannot read what is inside even if it is compelled to try. The account keys they do hold never leave FIPS 140-3 Level 3 hardware security modules, not even for their own engineers. Contents are sealed with AES-256-GCM, move over TLS 1.3, and every access lands in a hash-chained ledger that cannot be rewritten after the fact. They are named on our subprocessors list.

Every removal comes with a screenshot

When a data broker deletes your record, we document it. You see the evidence in your dashboard rather than a checkmark that asks you to take our word for it. That evidence trail runs across 1,127 data brokers and 185,264 custom sites, backed by opt-out rights under CCPA, GDPR, and a growing list of US state privacy laws. We keep filing when a broker stalls.

Real people, US-based

Removal specialists in the United States handle your requests. We do not offshore this work. Support is staffed 24/7/365 by the same standard, and our Essentials and Pro plans carry a 30-day money-back guarantee.

We collect the minimum needed to find and remove your exposures, and we never sell your information. Every vendor that can touch member data is published in our subprocessors list, and the privacy policy spells out what we store and why.
