Privacy Bee Earns PCMag’s First Perfect 5-Star Rating for a Data Removal Service
August 5, 2026
We have some pretty incredible news to share.
PCMag has awarded Privacy Bee a perfect 5-star rating and Editors’ Choice recognition following its latest independent review.
That makes Privacy Bee the first and only data removal service to earn PCMag’s highest possible rating.
For our team, this is a huge moment. We have spent years building Privacy Bee around one goal: helping people take back more control of their personal information. Having that work independently evaluated and recognized at this level means a lot to us.
We’re proud. We’re grateful. And yes, we’re taking a moment to celebrate this one.
PCMag’s first perfect 5-star rating in the category
PCMag independently evaluated Privacy Bee’s coverage, features, removal capabilities, pricing, and overall customer experience.
The result was a perfect 5-star rating and Editors’ Choice recognition.
With that rating, Privacy Bee is now PCMag’s highest-rated data removal service.
The review also recognized one of the areas we have worked especially hard to build: coverage. PCMag found that no competing data removal service it evaluated matched Privacy Bee’s Data Broker coverage.
Among the capabilities highlighted in the review were:
Automated removals across more than 1,000 Data Broker sites
Connections between known data breaches and the Data Brokers holding related information
Additional opt-outs submitted on customers’ behalf
Privacy and protection settings customers can control directly
A complete privacy risk assessment available at no cost
Today, Privacy Bee covers 1,128 Data Brokers and 185,253 custom sites.
PCMag ultimately called Privacy Bee its “ultimate first choice” for protecting personal information from data aggregators.
That is something we are incredibly proud to hear from an independent publication that has been evaluating technology and security products for decades.
Why this recognition means so much to us
Privacy is deeply personal.
Behind every scan and every removal request is a real person trying to understand where their information is exposed and gain more control over who can access it.
That is why Privacy Bee was never built around the idea of a one-time cleanup.
Data Brokers and People Search Sites continually collect and update personal information. A profile removed today can reappear later. New exposures can surface. Information can spread to sources you have never encountered before.
Privacy Bee continuously looks for exposed personal information, submits and follows up on removal and opt-out requests, tracks progress, and monitors for information that may reappear.
That combination of personal data removal, ongoing monitoring, and broad Data Broker coverage is a core part of what PCMag evaluated.
Receiving its highest possible rating is meaningful because it recognizes years of work behind those capabilities and the experience we have been working to build for our customers.
This milestone belongs to more than just us
We would not be celebrating this without the people who helped Privacy Bee get here.
To our customers, thank you for trusting us with something as personal as your privacy. Your feedback, experiences, and trust have helped shape what Privacy Bee has become.
To our team, thank you for the work that happens every day, including the work our customers may never see. Expanding coverage, improving removals, monitoring exposures, solving problems, and continuing to push the platform forward takes an incredible amount of care and persistence.
And to everyone who has supported Privacy Bee along the way, thank you for helping more people understand why greater control over personal information matters.
This one belongs to all of you, too.
Five stars, and we’re still building
We are absolutely celebrating this milestone.
Privacy Bee is now the first and only data removal service to earn a perfect 5-star rating from PCMag, as well as an Editors’ Choice.
But a rating like this does not make us want to slow down. It makes us want to keep going.
There is still more coverage to build, more ways to improve the customer experience, and more work to do to help people understand and reduce their personal information exposure.
We are incredibly proud of how far Privacy Bee has come and even more excited about what comes next.
Thank you to PCMag for the recognition, and thank you to everyone who helped us get here.
